25 years ago tomorrow the unthinkable happened. Over the course of several hours what happened changed the United States of America forever.

The images of the Twin Towers in New York City, the Pentagon outside Washington D.C. and a large field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania will be forever in our minds.

That morning at 8:46 am American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the north face of the North Tower. Seventeen minutes later at 9:03 am United Flight 175 crashed into the south face of the South Tower in New York City.

In Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. at 9:37 am American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the West side of the Pentagon. A short time later in Somerset County, at 10:03 am United Airlines Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, PA.

On that tragic day 2977 people were killed and more than 6,000 others were injured. The immediate deaths included 265 people on the four planes (including the terrorists), 2,606 people in the World Trade Center and the surrounding W.T.C. complex and 125 people at the Pentagon.

Throughout the day some of America’s bravest and finest were seen rushing into the chaos; risking and for many giving their lives to save others.

Because of these Heroic First Responders; the Firefighters, Police and EMS Personnel our country continues to be “The Land of The Free and Home of the Brave.”

September 11, 2001. Never Forget!
