| Earlier tonight, the Fairfield Community Fire Company conducted its weekly training session. This week, members focused on pulling and reloading fire hoses. This training involved removing folded fire hose from the storage area of a fire engine and stretching it toward a simulated fire scene. Placing the hose in a straight, orderly line on the ground helps prevent kinks before water is supplied. Crews then practiced reloading the hoses properly, ensuring they are ready for the next emergency.
This exercise is one of the essential hands-on skills in fire service training. It requires strength, coordination, and quick action so that firefighters can deploy water efficiently upon arrival.
